He said the MCS, PGD and BS (CS/SE) candidates, who could not submit their forms during the stipulated time period, could do so now on November 2 during the Ramzan banking hours. They could also submit their admission forms on the same day from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Department of Computer Science, he added.
It was further announced that the admission test for PGD will be held on November 8 at 2.30 pm and that of MCS on November 10 at 2.30 pm.
The admission test for BS (CS/SE) will be conducted on November 12 at 2.30 pm.
STUDENTS ASKED TO CELEBRATE EID AUSTERELY Karachi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui asked the students to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr in a simple manner and with the spirit of devotion and dedication.
In a message, he urged them not to forget hundreds of thousands of affectees of the earthquake and come forward to support them with all possible monetary assistance at this very hour.
The Vice-Chancellor pointed out that the nation in the wake of that disaster had authored a new history of unity, co-operation and sacrifice.
However, he stressed, the high spirit of support must continue till the tasks of rehabilitation and reconstruction of our disaster-affected brethren was successfully accomplished.
Professor Siddiqui paid rich tributes to the people in general and the students in particular who have worked day and night to collect donations, relief goods as well as medicines and dispatched the same to the affected areas.
Thus an unprecedented example had been set, which the entire world had witnessed and admired, he said, adding the spirit recognised by the world community was certainly a source of pride for us, he added.
